Associate Spotlight: Chadwick and Azlin

Swagelok Northwest (US) has some impressive associates in our ranks. From marathon runners, to professional deep sea fishing. Our associates live incredible lives. The Associate Spotlight series aims to highlight the talented individuals who work here. Each month, we’ll be featuring an interview here on the blog and on our social accounts.

For this month’s Associate Spotlight, we’re featuring: Chadwick Houghton, a Custom Solutions Supervisor from the Portland branch, and Azlin Zehnun, a Customer Service Representative based out of our Anchorage, Alaska branch.

What have you learned in the last week?
Chadwick: Something I've learned in the last week is the true meaning of our team's dedication actually here at work. Ya know, despite all odds, I think that we do a good job of looking after each other's backs, even when you're not expecting it.

When are you happiest?
Azlin: Umm... I'm so happy, when I have a good meal. 

What was the last gift you gave?
Chadwick: The last gift I gave was actually the gift of beer. It was to my father-in-law and he also has the liking for beer and brewing beer and I thought I'd share the most recently brewed pilsner with them.

If you could learn a new skill instantly what would it be?
Azlin: Probably skiing, Yup, the whole family skies except for me. I'm very terrified of it, but if I had a chance, I'd want to learn so I could ski with my family!

Favorite musical artist or band of all time?
Chadwick: Ahhh Metallica. I know there's some haters out there... but Metallica for sure. I know they've had their ups and downs just like anybody else but I'm sticking strong with them.

If you were a Swagelok product, what would you be?
Azlin: It would be... I don't know, maybe one of the ball valves? It's heavy... and uh, It's expensive!
